With specialist knowledge and an experienced engineering team, Expert integrates robotic control systems with the design of bespoke lines, cells and machines for maximum effectiveness. This allows us to fine-tune the programming to achieve maximum efficiency and minimum cycle times on behalf of our clients.
For Test applications with the need for real time data collection and manipulation, Expert will use a suitable PC based control system.
Expert Advanced Manufacturing Technologies designs, manufactures and installs a wide range of automation systems across many sectors of industry. The control of the automation is normally via a PLC or Programmable Logic Controller. Expert have designed and commissioned systems using many of the recognised PLC manufacturers- Siemens, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, Omron, Mitsubishi, G E Fanuc and Modicon. Most of the PLC systems involve the use of the manufacturers HMI’s (Human Machine Interface) in a variety of screen sizes.
Expert engineers not only design of the PLC software and commission to customer acceptance but also offer site support for any production breakdowns or system upgrades or modifications. Expert uses the latest versions of the programming software for the sequence control, HMI screen diagnostics and any SCADA Management data and reporting systems.
The PLC software code is written in accordance with the customer specifications and can be Ladder logic, Statement list, Function Block, Graph 7, Diagnostic Control programming.
Integration of the PLC‘s via software with the major Industrial Robot suppliers- ABB, KUKA, Fanuc, Kawasaki, Motorman is part of the normal Expert systems. Today’s technology mainly uses bus systems for communication between PLC’s and Robots, special purpose machinery etc.- typically Ethernet IP, Profibus, ASI bus, Devicenet.
PLC – Programmable Logic Controller systems handle data to process and control machinery (including automated equipment) in real time. PLC Control Systems are hard-standing and are not heat sensitive and can therefore function in a warehouse or other environments.
